RINs/LCFS

RINs, or renewable identification numbers, are a way in which renewable fuel is tracked. Between the producers, exporters, refineries, and buyers, there are several countries and hundreds of companies participating in the sustainable energy market. It is important to keep companies honest and responsible for the emissions their companies produce.

LCFS, or Low Carbon Fuel Standard, represents the level at which all low emission fuels are held to. California was the first to create a system of regulation, with many states and countries following suit. These programs are aimed at reducing the carbon intensity of transportation fuels. We purchase LCFS credits to offset our carbon emissions, continuing our journey to net-zero.
